BBC Online is designed to work with the widest possible range of browsers and platforms. However, to make the most of your visit, it is advisable to use a recent version of a browser, such as Netscape Navigator 3.0 (or later) or Internet Explorer 3.01 (or later), via a reasonably quick Internet connection (28.8 bps dial-up or better).

The BBC Online Channel currently needs to be viewed using a fourth generation browser, such as Internet Explorer 4.0. or Netscape Navigator 4.04. To find out more about the service, and how to install it, visit the information pages at the BBC Online Channel. The BBC Online Ticker is only available for Windows 95 and Windows 3.1, but a version for the Mac platform will be available soon.
