Vote for your favorite softsynth host

I gotta hand it to Fruity ... yeah it makes a weak environment initially, but kills other hosts when you drop a few VSTs in there

I vote Cubase. Most stable host you can get.

And yes, Reason can't host VST's.

But as a all-in-one sollution Reason is tha bomb!

uhm, as said, Reason is not a VST host...
Can't see why so many ppl voted for Fruity? It sux ass!
Cubase SX is the best! Although I do not use softsynths much, I still think Cubase SX is the best for everything.

Yeah reson can't host VSTis, DXis, or anthing. But it is a host for software synthesis. I think of this as a huge low to Propellerheads.

The thing about Cubase is that I can't really figure it out ... well ... after ten minutes. I want to get out of FL ... kind of ... in a way. People say that it's a weak synth, and I have to agree and disagree at the same time. I've written tracks a thousand times better than any one of the demo tracks it includes. I have learned FL 110%, 100% is understanding the host, and the 10% are some personal tricks and stuff I made up.

What's better about Cubase? I imagine you could create the same song with FL and Cubase, maybe it's just easier to get your song from your mind to Cubase. Plus, FL crashes on me a lot, but my PC just got really buggy about a week ago, so I don't know if I can blame FL for it.

I think it'd be cool to know how to use a bunch of synths, that way I can have flexibility, and I can use FL as a VST. Would anybody be able to help me with some transition guidelines so I can make a smooth shift? That would be freakin awesome if I could figure out cubase. Reason hints would be awesome too, don't get that one either. Thanks!!
