Lightbulb An idea to help trance [] control

whattup. i would help t[]c with a donation, but i'm not old enough to have a credit card. instead i have another idea thats profitable to t[]c and artists who support them.

i was browsing the t[]c mp3.com page and noticed they were trying to release a new track every week to release an album. with t[]c's permission, to help them out some of use can remix they're tracks and if t[]c likes them, maybe they could put it on they're cd(s). if it's ok with t[]c (of course) i could use some help coming up with notes since obviously theres no MIDI (▓ e-mail address hidden).

this is just an idea that i think will help t[]c and they're fellow trance musicians. peace......dJ eXcelent

I think what he's trying to say is that we should make a remixalbum of t[]c's songs for t[]c to sell. Just making remixes would not be ideal because P4P is discontinued. :-(

But really that's not a bad idea. Alle, if you think this is a good idea I'd be happy to help in any way I can and use the experience I've gained from the IncrediTrance project.

i didnt know that p4p was discontinued, but what you said is another way to interpret my idea. t[]c profits because they are well-known so this cd will most likely be popular and the artists remixing will also profit because they will get more exposure. plus, if t[]c don't like the remixes, they can just not release the album since it will probably lower their popularity. peace.....dJ eXcellent

True. But I don't know whether t[]c would go for it. The IncrediTrance compilation I created has them on it. The idea was for them to sell lots of them. It came out almost a year ago and they still haven't put it up. Maybe they would consider it now though so they can get more $$$ I don't know. Check out the CD here: http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/cds/212/212943.html

But in any case it is a good idea. Most of the producers on here are really good so I don't think t[]c would have any reason not to put it up.

Alle, what are your thoughts?

hehe that IncrediTrance cd is old as hell...

I think a remixalbum could be a solution 'cause ppl always want to hear freash remixes...
But to sell a remixalbum you need to have GOOD and FAMOUS remixers on...
If tc can't fix producers that are atleast the size of Lagoona & Airbase's famouslevel then I think it's not a hot deal.

And producers that are as famous as that want's money...

True, maybe t[]c could fix some other mp3.com producers and give them the right to sell the cd for themselves and that will serve as payment and the CDs sold off of t[]c's site will serve as promotion as well.

It's all about money nowdays...

If someone really big would like to help them get on track then they would've already contacted TC...

i agree you should have at least a few famous remixers on it, but i think the t[]c standard should sell the cd. i mean, although lagoona and airbase are good and famous, they don't have as many plays as t[]c on mp3.com. and if t[]c likes the remixes enough to put them on a cd, i think their fans will buy it.

but if you want famous remixers, you should just ask. i'm sure that if they won't do it just to help t[]c, you could suggest to remix one of their tracks after you get some more money and equipment. like i said, t[]c is one of the most famous artists on mp3.com and other less popular artists could use more exposure. my 2 cents.....dJ eXcellent

Yeah I agree, Alex. You have a point there. 'Course it could be done anyway. I mean it never hurt to do it. Its not like its gonna hurt anything. If anything it'll give them a little bit of income. If not, oh well. No big deal.

Too bad Alle hates doing remixes so the remix exchange idea woudn't work. Good idea though.

Hey Guys!

You all got a very kind & generous way of figuring stuff out to help us... I totally admire the will & the way here!

A ReMix compilation would be a neat thing - I give you that! However, I don't think it's an idea that'd work too good - Your will to help & support is admirable to a degree you selldom see.

I'm just happy to learn we got so many supportive listeners/fans behind our back, every step of the way.

I'd say the best way to help out is what you've always done - let people know about trance[]control - download our songs (even though we don't get any money for it) so that we gain higher chart positions, bringing us more exposure, increasing the chance for us to get signed with a large record deal.

Do this and you've done enough & beyond

So far thanks to you guys we've been asked to place GOTHENBURG SOUND on a CD compilation with a minimum estimated sale of 150,000 copies worldwide. The other day we got contacted by a US Cinematagropher - GOTHENBURG SOUND is wanted for a Wakeboard Video (VHS/DVD) - Estimated to sell a minimum of 100,000 copies world wide...

In all your support and way of telling others about us gained us an estimate of 250,000 copies sold over the next year. In hard cash this means about $28,750 over the next year for the sakes royalty part ONLY! And then another $15,000 or so from NCB, and after that comes the whole thing with Radio/TV airplay...

And by this I say - Please understand that you've done way more then anyone ever would expect from you!

THANKS, me and Andreas re the two most lucky musicians in the world to have y'all!

All the best

//Alex
