About the track
Alexander presented it as a 9+ minute melodic trance piece, quite fast at 140 BPM but with an almost symphonic feel, and the site credits him alone as producer. Before the release he posted a YouTube teaser and a series of previews, among them an updated preview on SoundCloud, and then the complete final master, telling listeners to expect the track around 25 May.1,2
Because releasing music on Bandcamp had gone so well, he put Laurasia there with a twist: listeners could name their own price, with free downloads limited to 2,100. It was also sold through iTunes, Amazon and Spotify.1
Six visitors reviewed it on the band's site between 25 May and 21 June 2012, five of them with five stars, for an average of 4.8 out of 5; several recalled the band's MP3.com years or welcomed its return.1
In their words
“This is a 9+ minute melodic trance piece, quite fast (140 BPM) yet with a laid back almost symphonic feel.”
