About the track

On 12 January 2012 Alexander wrote on the band's site that trance[]control had "woken up from hibernation". Pangea followed on 1 February, announced as the first new release in over half a decade and on its way to iTunes, Amazon MP3, CD Baby, Spotify and other stores. The band's 2012 site called it a high-energy melodic piece that marked the rebirth of trance[]control.1,2

The site explained the title as Greek for "the whole world": the former supercontinent in which all the continents were joined together as one.3,2

On 26 April 2012 Alexander put a special 24-bit/96 kHz rebalanced edition of Pangea on Bandcamp, available only there, at a price listeners could name themselves, free if they liked.3

In their words

“The first new release in over half a decade!”

Alexander Carlborg, 1 February 20121

“Pangea: Greek for the whole world – Our former super continent where all the continents where merged together as one.”

Alexander Carlborg, 26 April 20123
