About the release
The band kept the remix "a bit of a secret" until its newsletter of 30 May 2000, which announced it for release on 12-inch through Flash Traxx / SHR on 13 June, before the other tracks on the record were known. By October 2000 the band listed it on A Tribute to Madonna - Tranceformed, a 12-inch remix EP on Colossal / SHR / Chicago with three other remixes and a catalogue number given as COL-???, and called the remix one of the best tracks it had made "according to us and others".3,1,4
The record was sold through dancemusicstore.com and record stores. The remix was also on both discs of SHR's compilation Extacy, released that July, opening the unmixed one. Later the band put the remix on its MP3.com page, filed under Electronic Cover Songs, because the 12-inch had become very hard to get; by May 2002 the band's message board had a news thread for it. In 2013 the band's site still listed it among its remixes.1,4,5,6,7
In their words
“Until now we've kept this as a bit of a secret but here we go.”
“Previously released on a VERY hard-to-get 12" EP we now decided to put this track out for easy access!”
