Background
DuMonde was a German trance project from Koblenz, run by the producers and DJs JamX (Jürgen Mutschall) and De Leon (Dominik de Leon), who started it in 1997 with a third founding member. Their first DuMonde track, Tomorrow, reached the top ten of the German dance charts, and they became known for hard-trance remixes for acts such as Push, Alice Deejay and CRW. In the UK, Never Look Back reached No. 36 in the singles chart in 2001. [1, 2, 3]
At the time
In 2004 DuMonde released the singles Kalt/Cold and Ich will raus/Let me out and the mix CD On Stage 2004 (Chapter 1), and toured Australia and Canada. Their own gig list for the year included Borås, Sweden, on 3 April and Heaven in London on both 19 November and 17 December. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Later
After a 2005 single with Judge Jules, DuMonde disbanded in 2007, when both members turned to solo work, and the compilation A Decade 1997–2007 closed that period. In 2024 JamX revived the project with the producer D.Mand, with new releases such as Sometimes (with Talla 2XLC) in 2024 and The Path 3.33 in 2026. [1]
