Steve Mason was a British DJ and radio presenter whose weekly two-hour show, The Steve Mason Experience, ran on the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) from 1991, played rave and techno and had a large following in Germany. From 1992 he also played German clubs, regularly the Warehouse in Cologne and Mayday, and in 1995 he started his own label, Experience Grooves. [1, 2, 3, 4]
At the time
In 2000 the show still went out every Saturday on BFBS, and his mix CD In The Mix Volume 6 and the 12-inches Get On The Sound and Bikini Red came out on his labels Experience Grooves and Experience 2000. The Warehouse listed him among its DJs that year and billed him at Privilege and Space in Ibiza in early September 2000. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Later
BFBS aired the last Steve Mason Experience on 20 January 2001, after 475 shows. He kept playing clubs for some years, and by 2020 he played only a few gigs a year. [1, 2]
