The Blend Team
DJ team (resident DJs of a club night) · Derby, UK
On the bill with trance[]control: Massive @ Heaven, London (19 November 2004)
Background
Blend was a Saturday house night at the Gatehouse nightclub in Derby. In December 2004 its site named Scott Lorimer as Blend's resident, hosting the main room, and listed Paul Lyman among its residents and crew. [1, 2]
At the time
The Massive flyer named the third room the "Massive Blend Room". Lyman's own site in August 2004 listed residencies at Blend and Slinky in Derby and at Miss Moneypenny's in Leicester, and said he could play anything from funky vocal house to tougher sets; Blend's December 2004 diary billed Lorimer on every listed night, beside guests such as Steve Lee of Lee Cabrera and the Slammin Boys. [1, 2, 3]
Later
By March 2005 Blend's site listed both as "Residents of Blend". A later Blend bio says the night ran in the Midlands for four years before the brand held parties in Ibiza and at the Winter Music Conference in Miami. [1, 2]
