Background
The Sharp Boys are the London house duo of Steven Doherty and George Mitchell, who met in 1992 at FF, a Sunday club at Turnmills, and launched their label Sharp Recordings at the end of 1994. They co-created Trade Lite, a room at the Turnmills club Trade, and became residents at Heaven. [1, 2, 3]
At the time
In October 2004 their label's site said they hosted a two-hour Saturday-night show on London's Kiss 100 and recalled their BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes of 1999 and 2000. [1]
Later
In 2005 their label issued "Maniac – Ten Sharp Years", featuring Michael Sembello. An interview from around 2007 credited them with reworking over 300 artists, including seven UK No. 1s; in 2021 they began reissuing their catalogue, and in 2026 they signed a distribution and label-management deal with MN2S Label Services.
