About the track

The band released it for free on MP3.com as "Deep Vibrations [[ 2000-06-12 ]]", writing that the people it had been in contact with called it by far the best track it had made, and that, since most of its new tracks had gone to CD or vinyl, it wanted to show what it sounded like at the time. It dedicated the track to coloradorave.com and the crowds at PLUR Fest in Fort Collins, Colorado, where the band had played on 3 June 2000.1,3

On 15 August 2000 MP3.com's chart across all genres listed "Deep Vibrations - PROMO [[2000-06-12]]" at No. 15, and its electronic chart at No. 14.2,4

In July 2002 Alexander told the band's message board that the main lead was not a software synth but a patch the band had made on a Roland JP-8080. The track was on Audiographic Moments (2001) and the album OUT THERE, and in the forum's poll of February 2004 on what must go on a planned 12-inch EP it shared second place with Imported Nightmare, with five of 56 votes, behind Gothenburg Sound.5,6,7

In their words

“We didn't use a software synth for the main lead in Deep Vibrations. It was a patch we made ourselves from the 'ROLAND JP-8080'”
