About the track

The band released the track on 22 April 1999 to celebrate 145,000 visits and 96,000 downloads in 21 days on its MP3.com page, and said it would also be on the coming album Beyond 2000. MP3.com credited it as produced by DjC featuring Marwin G, and the band's discography of 2001 as co-produced with Marwin G of MAD Project.1,2,5,3

The crowd was not a real audience. In October 2003 Alexander explained that it was "a dub recording": he had sampled the crowd of a Scooter concert and layered it six times with different panning, matching its cheers to the breakdowns and build-ups of the track. In February 2004 he confirmed that Organic Meltdown, a track some listeners had, was the first sketch of what became Vision of Mind.4,6

RAW42 reviewed the track at the band's request on 18 August 1999, together with We are no Strangers and The Path to Eternity. In 2013 the band's site presented the version on Lost and Found (2012) as the track "in it's original state", made by DjC and Marwin G.7,8

In their words

“A pretty aggressive melodic Trance/Dance track with a crowd of 400,000 people screaming for more.”

trance[]control, 2 June 20005

“The Crowd is actually a huge crowd from a Scooter concert that I sampled, then took that 5k+ crowd and added it on top of itself 6 times”

Alexander Carlborg, 15 October 20034
