Background
Merku was a Québec City hardcore and gabber DJ who, with Volkano, led Kanibalz Productions; Kanibalz threw its first party, Let The Invasion Begin, in December 2001 to bring hardcore techno to the Québec City rave scene. [1, 2]

His 2003 bookings included Push the Limit 3 in Montreal (23 August), Waterworld, and Kanibalz's own Turbulence 2 and Extinction in Québec City, and two of his tracks were on the CD Merku vs Volkano. [1, 2]
Later
By 2005 he played as Merkurius; his first vinyl, "Shame On You", came out on Bib_22 Records, and his 2006 bookings included WEMF and Hard As Fuck 666 in Montreal. [1, 2]
