About the track

In November 1999 the band announced a new track, "far more aggressive and pumping than anything we've ever made before", to be released free with a give-away of 40 T-shirts signed and designed by the duo; on 1 December it was still deciding which of its unreleased tracks to use. The track that went out with the competition was The way Home [Promo Edit]. On MP3.com the band called it "a 'bad-ass' trance track", arranged, produced and mastered by DjC & WennE, and wrote that it had meant to release it on Popwire only but was using MP3.com as a temporary solution. By March 2000 the competition was closed.1,4,2

The track was not on the ten-track Beyond 2000 that MP3.com sold in November 1999; it opened the expanded 13-track edition, Beyond 2000 XIII, and the band also put it on its label album Beyond 2001 - the Resurrection (2000). In 2004 a forum thread asked who still missed the track, and several members answered that it remained a favourite. That June the band added it to the regular MP3 Vault.5,6,3,7,8

In their words

“A track according to ourselves that represents us well. A 'bad-ass' trance track that we hope you'll like a lot!”
