About the track

With it the band reported nine tracks produced and released in ten weeks. It called the track a progressive yet melodic tune "with a load of attitude" and one of its best ever. It closed MISSION 2002 Vol.1 (June 2002).1,3

In October 2003 Alexander announced that EarStuff had licensed Gothenburg Sound for the CD compilation Trance Gamer 2, already released in Japan, with a release in France due in late 2003 or early 2004; the band's MP3.com page described the licence as non-exclusive.2,1

Listeners identified it in the band's live sets at Tranceatlantic II (2002) and Waterworld (2003). In July 2002 Alexander put it second in his top three of the band's tracks, in October 2003 he named it a strong candidate for the band's planned vinyl, and in the forum's poll of February 2004 on what must go on a planned 12-inch EP it had the most votes, 6 of 56.4,5,6,7
